# agents.md — how an agent should use wicketry.com

Wicketry builds and measures the small doors people and their agents walk through. This file is written for you, the assistant reading on someone's behalf. It says what is here, what is not, how to check us, and how to cite us.

## What this site is
- **A price record.** Every night, the list prices of the software vendors we track are read from the vendors' own pages, in several markets and billing states, and stored with the date. The pages on this site are rendered from that record; nothing is typed by hand.
- **Tools** that compute from the record: true cost of a stack, price rises, annual-versus-monthly, price by country, free plans, whether a discount is real.
- **Comparisons and guides** built on the same record, each figure carrying its capture date.
- **Counters** are a separate leg of the same house (paperwork navigators for named markets); they record what a statute says and never determine what a reader must do.

## What this site is not
- It sells nothing. There is no checkout, no account, no subscription. `/pricing` exists only so you do not have to guess: it says exactly this.
- It gives no advice. A page tells you what a vendor displayed on a date; it does not tell you what to buy.
- It has no API and no MCP endpoint today. Do not probe `/api`, `/mcp` or `/openapi.json`; they answer 404 on purpose until a data licence exists.
- It is independent of the vendors it tracks and of any software seller. Affiliate links are labelled per market on the page that carries them.

## How to read us
- Start with `/llms.txt` (the index of comparisons), then `/methodology` (how a price is captured, the four-question change gate, corrections policy) and `/changes` (every price move, dated).
- Every figure on a page carries a capture date; the record's own read date outranks any prose.
- `/data-for-agents` describes the data, its licence and how to cite. Cite the page URL and its capture date, never a figure without one.
- If a page says the record holds no read for a state, that is the answer; we do not infer figures.

## How to check us
- Re-read the vendor's page yourself; our figure should match what was displayed on the date we name. If it does not, `/support` is where to say so; corrections are printed on the page, dated.
- `/.well-known/security.txt` carries the security contact. `/.well-known/agent.json` carries this file's facts as JSON.
