Comparison — from the record, 2026-09-01

Duda vs Squarespace: identical at the bottom, and the plan names say where each one is going

How to read this page: every number below was read from the vendor’s own public pricing page on the date shown, and the pages are re-checked daily. Currencies differ because that is what each vendor showed an EU visitor. Some links on this page are affiliate links — if you subscribe through one we earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Per our method, that never changes a number or a verdict. Source links always point to the vendor’s plain page.

See the note on the two readings.
Advanced$139/mo ($99 annual)US read 2026-09-06: '$139 /mo' monthly, '$99 /mo' annual. EU read 2026-09-07 through verified DE, FR and ES exits: €79 monthly, €69 annual — the same figure in all three markets. ⚠️ The same read filed as DE put Advanced at €42/€29, which is this ladder's PLUS row. Not reconciled — see the note on the two readings.

The EU ladder is three plans — Basic €11, Core €17, Advanced €29 per month on annual billing, and €15, €24, €42 billed monthly. The Price column holds the US read of 2026-09-06, which is a four-plan ladder including Plus. ⚠️ The '50% off' the cron saw on 2026-09-06 is NOT on the page today.

What the record says

In the United States the two ladders begin on the same numbers. Duda's first plan is $25 and Squarespace's is $25 — both, as it happens, called Basic. The second rung matches too: $39 against $39. Two vendors, four plans, two identical figures, and nothing on either pricing page suggesting the match is deliberate.

From the third rung they separate, slowly and then sharply. Duda's $69 against Squarespace's $65 is $4. Duda's $199 against Squarespace's $139 is $60.

The names explain the shape better than the numbers do. Duda climbs Basic, Team, Agency, White Label — a ladder that ends with reselling the product under someone else's brand. Squarespace climbs Basic, Core, Plus, Advanced, which is the vocabulary of a single owner buying more capability for one site. Both ladders are four rungs; they are not four rungs of the same staircase.

That also tells you which comparison is real. If you are building one site, the upper rungs are largely irrelevant and the two vendors cost the same to start. If you are building sites for clients, Squarespace has no plan aimed at you and the comparison ends before the price does.

Outside the United States the arithmetic changes on one side only. Duda returned the same dollar figures from all five countries we read. Squarespace converts: $25 is what it quoted in this market, against Duda's $25. So the matching entry prices are a fact about the American pages, and every cross-vendor figure above is pinned there for that reason.

Beyond the price tag

The first two rungs are the same figures

$25 against $25, then $39 against $39. Both vendors even use the name Basic for the first one.

The third rung is close

$69 against $65 — $4 apart. Still the same neighbourhood, and the last rung on which that is true.

The fourth is not

$199 against $139 — $60 apart. Duda's climb from its own third rung is $130; Squarespace's is $74.

The names are the argument

Basic, Team, Agency, White Label against Basic, Core, Plus, Advanced. One ladder is describing who is using the account; the other is describing how much the account can do.

Only one of them converts

Squarespace quoted $25 in this market. Duda returned $25 in dollars to all five countries we read. Outside the United States the two are not in the same money and no subtraction between them is available.

Questions people actually search

Which is cheaper, Duda or Squarespace?

In the United States they are the same for the first two plans — $25 and $25, then $39 and $39. Above that Squarespace is cheaper: $4 at the third rung and $60 at the fourth.

Why does Duda's ladder go so much higher?

Its top plan is called White Label, which is a product for people who resell the builder to their own clients. Squarespace publishes nothing under that description, so its ladder ends earlier. That is what the names say; what the plans include is not something the pricing pages settle.

Does Duda charge in euros or pounds?

Not in our readings. We fetched its pricing page from Britain, Germany, France and Spain and it returned the same dollar figures every time, starting at $25.

Is the matching entry price a coincidence?

We can only say that the two figures match in the American market and that neither pricing page mentions the other. Outside the United States they do not match, because Squarespace converts and Duda does not.

THE VERDICT, ONE MORE TIME

For one site it costs the same as Duda to begin — $25 against $25 in the US — and its ladder tops out $60 lower.

The two are indistinguishable on price at the bottom, so the question becomes which upper ladder you are buying into. Squarespace's climbs toward selling; Duda's climbs toward running sites for other people.

Both ladders were read from the vendors' own pricing pages, from five countries in turn, each table dated. Duda returned US dollars from all five; Squarespace returned pounds to Britain and euros to Germany, France and Spain. Cross-vendor figures on this page are pinned to the United States, the one market where the two quote the same currency. What each plan contains is a product question the pricing pages do not settle in figures, and the reading of the plan names is offered as what the names say, not as a claim about the features behind them.
