Constant Contact vs Flodesk
Both ladders below were read from the vendors’ own pricing pages, in this market, on the dates shown. Nothing is converted: what you see is what each page showed a reader here.
What each one is
Constant Contactsite ↗pricing ↗
One of the oldest email marketing services, aimed at small businesses and non-profits, with event invitations and social posting alongside email. Paid plans start at $10/mo (Lite); no free plan is published. The ladder we hold runs 3 paid tiers, topping out at $68/mo (Premium). It bills by country — entry £6/mo to a UK reader and €10/mo in the eurozone, from our same-day reads. Constant Contact publishes every plan as a 'starting at' figure that climbs with your contact count, which is why the bill and the advertised price drift apart over time.
Flodesksite ↗pricing ↗
An email tool whose selling point is design: template-led newsletters for creators and small brands who care what the email looks like in the inbox. Paid plans start at $25/mo (Lite); no free plan is published. The ladder we hold runs 3 paid tiers, topping out at $54/mo (Everything). We read the same $25/mo in every market we check, so this vendor does not price by country. Its published prices moved on 2026-09-18 — the change log holds the rows. Flodesk retired the flat unlimited price for new members on 2 December 2025, by its own FAQ. Anyone who chose it for that reason is now shopping again.

Where they differ
- Cheapest way in: Constant Contact at $10/mo, against Flodesk at $25/mo. That is the entry price in this market on the dates shown, not a judgement about which suits you.
- Free plans: neither publishes one. Any free access here is a trial, which is a deadline.
- How far each ladder goes: Constant Contact tops out at $68/mo, Flodesk at $54/mo. A deeper ladder is not a worse deal — it is a bill that keeps climbing if you keep growing.
- Recently moved: Flodesk (2026-09-18). A change only counts once a second clean read agrees.
- Constant Contact: It bills by country — entry £6/mo to a UK reader and €10/mo in the eurozone, from our same-day reads.
- Flodesk: We read the same $25/mo in every market we check, so this vendor does not price by country.
How to choose in this category
- Most tools price by list size — a quoted price is only true at a stated subscriber count, so re-check the ladder at yours.
- Free tiers differ in what they cap: subscribers, sends or features. Two ‘free plans’ are rarely the same thing.
- Headline prices are often the annual-billing rate; the pay-monthly figure sits higher.
