A three-person team on Jasper pays three times; a three-person team on Writesonic pays the plan price plus $50 per extra user per month. Whether you are buying people or volume decides which ladder you should even be reading.

Writesonic's switch opens on annual, showing $79, $199 and $399 with 'per month, billed annually' beneath, and prints its own saving beside each plan: $240, $600 and $1,200 a year. Flip to monthly and you get $99, $249 and $499. The arithmetic holds on all three — $948 against $1,188, $2,388 against $2,988, $4,788 against $5,988 — which is 20.2%, 20.1% and 20.0%. The label says 20% and it is 20%.

The tilde does some work, and we are not calling it anything worse than a rounded claim, but a reader who trusted the label and budgeted 20% would be out by about a third of the discount they expected.
The larger difference is how much of each ladder you are allowed to see. Jasper's page has two plans and prices one of them. Pro is $59 or $69; Business is 'custom pricing' with a Contact Sales button, and everything that would make it worth upgrading sits behind that — complex workflow agents, a no-code custom agent builder, Jasper Grid, unlimited brand controls, API access, admin governance. If Pro does not fit, the page cannot tell you what comes next.
Writesonic prices three of its four tiers and publishes the metering underneath them. Extra articles are $100 a month for 20 more. Extra seats are $50 per user per month, capped at two additional users on Basic and three on Growth. Only the top Custom tier is a sales conversation. You can build a two-year budget from that page without speaking to anyone, which is not true of the other.
There is also a Writesonic ladder most comparisons never mention, because the plan cards do not link to it. A separate agencies page carries its own pricing — $200 a month with a 'Save $600/year' annual figure, and a 'From $150/project/mo' rate. If you are buying on behalf of clients rather than for yourself, the plan you want is not on the page you landed on.
