What the record says
For years the honest one-line review of Flodesk was: everyone else charges by list size, Flodesk charges one flat price, forever — do the maths for your list. That review is now obsolete by Flodesk's own hand. Their pricing FAQ states the flat-rate unlimited plan was retired for new members on December 2, 2025, and pricing now scales with active subscriber count like the rest of the category. New signups get the category-standard deal, from the brand whose whole identity was refusing it.
So the comparison becomes ordinary arithmetic, and at 1,000 subscribers it isn't close. MailerLite: a real free plan (250 subscribers, 2,500 emails a month), then $12/month Comfort ($10.8 annual), then $25 Power with unlimited everything. Flodesk: no free plan shown on the pricing page, then $25/month Lite ($19 annual), $28 Pro ($25 annual), $54 Everything ($49 annual). MailerLite's top-of-the-page price equals Flodesk's bottom.
One wrinkle runs Flodesk's way, and it deserves stating plainly: every Flodesk plan includes unlimited email sends, while MailerLite's Comfort caps sending at 5,000 emails a month. A daily sender with 1,000 subscribers blows through that cap in week one and needs Power at $25 — at which point the two entry prices meet, and the choice comes down to what else each $25 buys. MailerLite's answer: unlimited automations, unlimited landing pages, 24/7 live chat.
Both prices climb with list size — Flodesk's own examples put Lite well above its entry figure by 5,000 subscribers (slider states our record does not yet hold) — and our tables show same-day, same-method readings at the positions stated. What the numbers can't show is why people love Flodesk anyway: the templates. That's real, it just now costs extra rather than less.

Flodesk's calling card. Its templates and editor are routinely described as the best-looking in email marketing, and for brands that sell on aesthetics that's a genuine differentiator. MailerLite's editor is clean and friendly, but nobody frames it as a design statement.
